Two horses have sustained severe injuries after being attacked with a bladed weapon, suspected to be an axe.
The horrific wounds were inflicted on two separate attacks, and both incidents happened in the Ashford area of Co. Wicklow.
The first attack took place during the morning of July 16. A similar incident was reported two days later.
Both offences appear to be linked, though no clear motive has been established so far.
