Thousands of people in the town of Navan, Co. Meath and its surrounding areas suffered a water drought today after a burst pipe in the region.

This comes just days after a burst pipe some 15 miles east outside Drogheda, Co. Louth caused chaos for practically a week to some 70,000 businesses and residences.

Peadar Toibin, the Sinn Fein TD for the area posted images on his Facebook depicting the true nature of the burst pipe.

Shockingly locals are claiming that the pipe is made from asbestos, the lethal substance known to cause many deaths worldwide for the past 50 years.

Toibin said that the repairs are well under way this afternoon and that water pressure is beginning to return to the Co. Meath area.
