The DSPCA have said that they are shocked and appalled after a newborn foal was found dumped on the side of a road in Co Dublin.
According to RTÉ News, the foal was tragically found dead on a road in Baldonnel on Tuesday.
Speaking to RTÉ News a spokesperson said the incident is becoming somewhat of a common occurrence.
Although the charity believe the mare may have been stillborn, they believe that the foal was heartlessly dumped on the side of the road as the owners did not want to pay for removal costs.
The charity told RTÉ that they are deeply concerned for the mare given the circumstances of the foal’s death.
