Simon Cowell has fired his security guard following the burglary of his home last Friday. The burglary took place as he, his girlfriend and son Eric slept upstairs.
It has been reported that Simon has now fired his security guard, who using the toilet as the robbery was happening. The Sun reported that Simon didn’t feel the man was fit to protect his family any longer, quoting a source as saying: “Simon said heads would roll because of the blunder.” The security guard’s firm have now told him it would not be appropriate for him to continue in his position.
Speaking about the incident Simon revealed: “The most frightening thing is someone has been in your house. It’s not what they steal, it’s that’s someone can break into your house. It’s nerve-racking. No one got hurt. Someone gets into your house and steals stuff – it could’ve been worse. I was fine. Lauren was woken up with me and checked on Eric”
