According to reports, Simon Cowell’s multi-million home in west London was burgled as he and his family slept upstairs.
The Daily Mirror reports that the thieves broke in at around 2am on Friday morning and escaped with cash and jewellery to the tune of a six figure sum. Cowell, his girlfriend Lauren Silverman and son Eric were all asleep at the time inside of the £35m home.
The Mirror quotes a source as saying: “It was clearly a very traumatic incident. Simon is just relieved that his family was safe and all right. Their safety is his number one priority.”
Police were sent to a property in Holland Park, but the burglars had fled. The Met said in a statement: “Police were called to an address in W14 on Friday, 4 December at approximately 02:20hrs to reports of a burglary in progress. Officers attended the scene but the suspects had left the area. Inquiries continue.”
