The Minister for Higher Education Simon Harris has confirmed that the Government will introduce further Covid-19 restrictions today.
Speaking to RTE’s This Week in Politics programme, Harris said the whole country will see further restrictions rather than a county by county basis.
The former Health Minister told the programme that Level 3 restrictions clearly haven’t worked and the Government will act decisively on Monday.
Although Harris said further restrictions will be put in place, he did state that the country needs to know where we are trying to get too.
He added that the Government does have to take everything into account before a concrete decision is made.
