The Minister for Higher Education Simon Harris has said that he has no time for anti-vaxxers whose blatant lies ultimately cost lives.
Speaking on RTE’s Today with Claire Byrne programme, the former Health Minister said that he has no time for such people who deliberately spread disinformation, misinformation and downright lies on the internet.
Although Harris is well aware that many people will have concerns about the Covid-19 vaccine should one be rolled out in Ireland, he said that he has seen first hand what lies and disinformation can do especially when it came to the HPV vaccine.
He added that the Government and health professionals should step up and provide clear information and answer any questions surrounding the Covid-19 vaccine once it is rolled out.
