In what can only be described as possibly the biggest mistake of the entire coronavirus outbreak, the Minister for Health appears to know next to nothing about how it even got its name.
Covid-19 is the official name to the virus that has gripped the world. Harris, who is the head of the Department for Health, thought that there were 18 other variations of it beforehand and that’s why it’s called Covid-19.
Harris was speaking on 2FM Breakfast and said that the virus is called COVID-19 because there have been 18 other coronaviruses detected in the past.
“Remember this is coronavirus COVID-19 – that means there have been 18 other coronaviruses and I don’t think they have successfully found a vaccine for any,” he said.
Many are now concerned that the Minister for Health doesn’t have a clue about this virus, what he’s talking about or what to do with the lockdown restrictions.
The embarrassed and embattled 33-yr-old Minister for Health for forced to release the below apology to the Irish people deeming it an “awful boo boo”.
So the man made a mistake about how #COVID__19 got its name.
