Since the start of Ukraine conflict, Ireland has now taken in around 75,000 Ukrainians – all entitled to free medical cards and free social welfare including the dole #IrelandisFull

The conflict in the Ukraine started one year ago today leaving thousands of Ukrainians spread across Europe.

It’s emerged that we’re not done yet taking in Ukrainians, even though the country is about to burst at the seams.

As up to 11,750 of our own people lie homeless around the country with not a roof over their heads in many cases, Micheal Martin, Leo Varadkar and Eamon Ryan appear to be prioritising those who never even stepped foot in Ireland before 2022.

Ireland has reportedly taken in around 75,000 Ukrainian refugees so far. All of these people are entitled to free medical cards and social welfare.

According to official figures, a total of around 50,000 individuals displaced by the war in Ukraine are now housed in Ireland.

Thousands more are expected to arrive by the end of the year, but there are nowhere near enough housing units to actually shelter them, so it’s unclear what the Government plans to do.
