Singapore suspends use of two flu vaccines allegedly after 48 people die after getting the jabs in South Korea

Singapore has halted the use of two different flu vaccines after 48 people reportedly die in South Korea after receiving the jab.

Use of SKYCellflu Quadrivalent and VaxigripTetra vaccine have been suspended as precaution in Singapore however, the South Korean authorities will continue vaccination programme after finding no direct link to casualties, warning that coronavirus outbreak heightens risk of “twindemic”.

Reuters reported that 48 have died as of Saturday in South Korea after getting flu shots but said it would carry on with the state-run vaccination programme regardless and dismissed the untimely deaths as mere coincidence.

South Korea’s SK Bioscience manufactures the SKYCellflu Quadrivalent while Sanofi makes the VaxigripTetra both of which are major and powerful pharmaceutical corporations.
