Sinn Fein maintains a commanding lead over the parties that seized power by soft coup in the last election, yet people remain unfazed about being ruled by an unelected bunch.

According to an Ireland Thinks/Sunday Independent poll, support for Sinn Fein stands at 32%, with Fine Gael and Fianna Fail trailing badly behind at 20% and 19% respectively.

The Greens currently poll at a frankly embarrassing 3%, and it’s unclear if the party’s leader has realized yet he’s being treated as a useful idiot to hold the fraying coalition together for another while.
