Sinn Fein have confirmed their intention to motion a table of no confidence in the Minister for Health Simon Harris, over his bungling performance in relation to the runaway costs of the new children’s hospital.
Harris is due to issue an apology in front of the Dáil, after it emerged that he had full knowledge of the rising costs of the facility much earlier than he publicly admitted.
However, Sinn Fein believes that an apology does not go far enough.
The minister has been in the firing line for some time, facing multiple calls to step down from his post.
