Sinn Fein rally draws large crowds in Cork

A Sinn Fein rally drew large crowds in Cork on Monday evening.

Up to 1,000 people were in attendance to hear Mary Lou McDonald’s rallying call for support for her party and the formation of a Sinn Fein-led Government.

Further rallies are planned across Ireland for the coming weeks.

Outgoing Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, whose tenure at the top job is the second shortest ever, referred to the rallies as an ‘unwelcome development.
