Sinn Fein will table a motion of no confidence in the Government next week, it has emerged today.

The move comes following the resignation of Fine Gael’s Joe McHugh, which means that the Government now has only 79 TDs, one short of a majority.

According to Sinn Fein, ‘This is a government that has now lost its parliamentary majority, and is failing to tackle the cost of living and housing crises.’
