Siptu refutes claims that Luas drivers have asked Transdev to offer rejected pay deal again

Siptu representatives have said that “there’s no truth in it whatsoever”, referring to claims made by some media today that Luas drivers have approached Transdev and asked the company to re-table a pay deal already soundly rejected by a majority in recent weeks.

According to the reports, drivers would have asked for an old pay offer to be put on the table again, but this is now being strongly denied by Siptu.

The latest pay claim put forward by drivers is in the region of 26.5%, which is still above what’s been offered by Transdev.

As it is, another day of strike will go ahead this Wednesday, unless agreement is reached.
