A six-year-old boy has been seriously injured following a shooting incident in the UK.
According to Sky News, the young boy was injured after a number of shots were fired at a house on the Ashbourne Road, in Wolverhampton, on Friday afternoon.
It is understood the boy sustained wounds to his back and his hand following the incident which occurred at approximately 4pm.
Police investigating the incident say the boy has been taken to hospital, although his injuries are not life-threatening.
They added that they are trying to determine a motive for the attack and say an investigation is currently ongoing.
