Revenue officers seized 20,000 cigarettes in Dublin Airport over the weekend.
Officials found the contraband when searching two men in separate incidents.
A 26-year-old Latvian national was stopped and searched on Friday night. He was found to be carrying 10,000 cigarettes.
In another incident, a 30-year-old Romanian man was attempting to bring another 10,000 cigarettes into the country.
