A farmer got the fright of his life earlier today, after finding a five-foot long Burmese Python slithering around a field in the Wicklow Mountains.
It is understood that the animal was in an unhealthy state, and appeared to have sustained a number of injuries.
Specialized authorized removed the snake, which is suspected to have been discarded by its owner after it grew too large.
