Last evening it was confirmed that the so-called “super fight” between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather is set to go ahead on August 26th.
The so-called “money maker” who fought at the famous Las Vegas MGM Grand venue more than 12 times in his career, is coming out of retirement to fight the Crumlin native in a one-off £500 million super fight spectacular.
All eyes are now on McGregor to see if he really will back up the talk on August 26th.
The fight was confirmed yesterday evening when Mayweather’s team said the booking of the MGM for the weekend of August 26th was that of a super fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.
Social media users have been skeptical about the seriousness of such a fight with many claiming both are just stepping in the ring for the big pay day.
Others however do think it’s serious and think that our very own Conor has a great chance at knocking Mayweather out.
