Sinn Fein members were prominently positioned in the videos and photos from the vigil held by the LGBTQ2S+ community outside the Dáil on Friday.

Friday’s vigil included many rainbow flags and a sing along including the Judy Garland number “Over the Rainbow”. To ensure it was inclusive, there was a sign writer for the deaf singing along.

According to the telegram channel, Archiving Irish Diversity https://t.me/IrelandArchive
a number of prominent Sinn Fein politicians were in attendance at the sing-along, all smiling and delighted to be part of the commemoration of the the dual murders of two Irish men in Sligo.

No-one mentioned the politicians who rule over Ireland and that many believe are responsible for our unlimited open borders immigration policy.
No-one mentioned the details of the murders and alleged other grotesque mitigations. No-one mentioned the elephant in the room, that the suspects in three murders of Irish people so far in 2022 are all foreign born.

Instead, many believe that the narrative has been spun by the news broadcasters. They say these murders were homophobic attacks. The gay community is more than happy to play their part and hold vigils. Some social media users have been saying that Mary McAleese does what she does best and blames the Catholic Church and that she just cannot help her Christophobic bigotry.

Vast numbers on social media are saying that this is to distract our attention away from the suspects religion and nationality, taboo subjects in Irish political and news circles.

LGBTQ2S+ groups that they’ll be holding further vigils in relation to such incidents and how to combat violence.
