Social Protection Minister Heather Humphreys is reportedly seeking to extend the Child Benefit to those over 18 still in full time secondary education.
Currently, the payment only extends to 17-year-olds who are still in education.
According to Ms. Humphries, the measure will be examined in the upcoming Budget.
