There’s some good news for Social Welfare recipients after the government announced that they’ll be getting their Christmas bonus paid in the first week of December.
An estimated 1.6m people will receive the bonus, which amounts to 100% of the Social Welfare payment, during the week starting December 7.
People who have been receiving the Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) for over 17 weeks will also receive a Christmas bonus.
