Solidarity-People Before Profit have called for the national minimum wage to be increased in order to tackle the rise in inflation.
It is understood the party are calling for the minimum wage to be increased to €15 per hour.
The party say they plan to submit a motion before the Dail later this week and that the motion is needed to provide people with a solid quality of life.
