Someone is lying: PSNI completely deny Higgins’ claims that he had to fly to Belfast due to a security risk

Someone is telling big fat lies and it’s high time that they’re found out.

The PSNI are said to be fuming over claims that Michael D Higgins was forced to take a private jet from Dublin to Belfast due to a security risk.

According to BBC News, the police service of Northern Ireland rejected the claims after, Higgins claimed that he was unable to travel by his top of the range BMW 7 series car.

The claim which was made back in May when President Higgins travelled to Queen’s University has reportedly angered police officials in the North who told BBC news that the claim was simply not true.

It is believed that President Higgins travelled by plane to Belfast City Airport and that his 7-series BMW was driven to Belfast to meet him there.

In a brief statement released to the BBC, a PSNI spokesperson said that it was simply inconceivable that that the President of Ireland would not have been afforded security if it had been requested.

No doubt that Tuesday’s last televised Presidential debate will now be explosive over this matter, especially if free speech activist Peter Casey remains in the race.
