Spain might begin issuing digital vaccine passports as early as May, to facilitate the return of mass tourism.
The Mediterranean country is a hugely popular sun destination for Irish and British holidaymakers. Local Spanish authorities have seen their hotels and resorts suffer a massive financial blow in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
A spokesperson for the Spanish tourism industry has said that they’re targeting May 19 as the date to begin rolling out the scheme.
