A Spanish couple whose lives had been disturbed by constant buzzing in their house for some time were shocked to discover a sizable beehive with 80,000 specimens behind a wall at their property.
The incident happened in Granada, in southern Spain.
The couple had reported the strange buzzing noise to the authorities, but no help was forthcoming until an expert beekeeper was called in. The man soon discovered a beehive with around 80,000 bees behind the wall. He calculated that the hive must have been there for about two years, judging by its size.
The bees were safely removed, and the couple can now enjoy peace at their home once again.
