Spectacular failure but Fianna Fail’s grassroots members remain deafly silent as support for their once dominant party falls to just 12% under Micheal Martin’s leadership

Ten years ago on the 23rd October 2011, the Red C Poll published their political party results. Back then, Fianna Fail had 14% under the leadership of Micheal Martin. Sinn Fein had 16% support and Fine Gael had 31%.

Fast forward to 2021. Fianna Fail has actually dropped to 12% of first preference votes, Fine Gael is on 25% and Sinn Fein is on 33%.

The question is, why are the Fianna Fail grassroots members not calling for Micheal Martin’s resignation?
Has no one in Fianna Fail the courage or conviction to stand up and say the emperor has no clothes? (Or no mandate).
