Katie Taylor spectacularly won her third professional fight last night after putting an end to her super-featherweight meeting with Monica Gentili with a stoppage in the fifth round in London’s o2 arena.
Taylor is now going to be pushed by promoter Eddie Hearn to become a world champion with a possible world champion bout being held in Croke Park.
Taylor was fighting on the undercard of the thrilling David Haye and Tony Bellew encounter with the Liverpudlian picking up a surprise victory after David Haye tore his achilles tendon.
