Though things look rather bleak and dull out there today, the current cold snap is set to come to an end by Thursday, giving way to warmer and finer conditions all around.
A mass of warm, tropical air will arrive on our shores by late Wednesday evening, causing temperatures rise to about 10C, and probably reaching 13C over the weekend.
The frosty nights are also set to vanish for the time being, with more pleasant evenings on the way.
