Cork and Kerry are under a Status Orange rain warning on Saturday, reports RTE.

The warning will be in force from midnight tomorrow until 11 p.m. on Saturday, according to Met Éireann.

According to the prediction, extremely heavy and continuous rain is predicted, with the heaviest accumulations expected in mountainous areas. This might result in flooding of rivers and coastlines, hazardous driving conditions, and disruptions to transport, reports RTE.

Five additional counties have been issued a rain warning for Saturday, categorised as Status Yellow.

From midnight tomorrow to midnight on Saturday, counties Clare, Limerick, Waterford, Galway, and Mayo will be under alert.

It is predicted to rain heavily and persistently, possibly resulting in isolated floods and hazardous driving conditions, reports RTE.
