A Status Yellow warning for heavy rain is in effect for six counties.
The warning, which covers counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, and Galway, came into effect at 6pm and will remain in place for 24h.
According to the national forecaster, some areas around these counties will experience very heavy rain, with the possibility of thunderstorms at times.
