A young Wicklow man sexually abused more than 60 children by posing as a teenager on Facebook and asking for nude photos to be sent to him, a court has heard, reports The Mirror.
The 26-year-old single man appeared at Wicklow District Criminal Court on Friday to face a total of 190 charges relating to various dates in 2015.
In multiple cases, the defendant, identified as a teenage girl who sent nude photos of herself to young boys, warned the victims that she was suicidal and would kill herself if they did not send the nude photos back to her.
In some cases, he asked young boys to engage in sexual activity with another child and photograph them, reports The Mirror.
In one case, he asked a young boy to take a photo of his three-year-old cousin’s penis, but he refused.
Most of the cases involve victims in Ireland.
