A Status Yellow warning is now in effect for three counties as miserable weather conditions arrive.
The warning, which covers counties Donegal, Leitrim, and Sligo, will remain in place until midnight.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience heavy showers, which may lead to localized flooding.
