Fianna Fail Minister Stephen Donnelly has said that non-vaccinated people are “putting themselves at risk” as the government has been accused of wasting “hundreds of millions” on PCR tests.
According to DublinLive, the Minister for Health has said that the 60% of hospital patients and 60% of critical care patients who have not gotten the vaccine are putting themselves at risk.
Meanwhile, the Sun reports that Independent TD Michael McNamara has said that the State have wasted million of euros on PCR testing due to the fact that they delayed the rollout of rapid antigens. He noted that this money could have been sent on much more important things and that there was no difference between the two testing methods anyway.
