Stephen Kenny’s wait for a win goes on as Ireland are completely outclassed by England

Brutal, woeful, poor or just simply a shambles take your pick, but Ireland’s soccer problems have clearly been highlighted tonight as they were outclassed by an England team that barely got out of second gear.

In a match that the hosts who are stacked with raw premier league talent were expected to win. Ireland who were unfortunately without a number of first team players were shown that they have a very difficult road ahead as they are clearly lacking overall quality and a cutting edge.

Although the Kenny project which has led to some decent build up play and put away the age old long ball tactic in recent games, were undone early on and never  looked like they could ever match their age old rivals.

Ireland who are unfortunately left looking at years of rebuilding were put to sword as England who have shown that their youth project works ran out comfortable 3-0 winners.

Kenny’s men who have two nations league games coming up in the next week will have a lot of work to do as the wait for a goal goes on with the last being Shane Duffy’s against Bulgaria in August.
