Sterling in freefall due to Brexit fears, currency falls to below €1.10 for the first time in six years

The value of Sterling has dropped almost by 20% against the US dollar since Britain sounded the Brexit trumpet.

The currency is currently trading at $1.22 and €1.10 to the pound, lows not seen for six years.

Sterling’s current downward trend has been fueled by market and political uncertainty in relation to a post-Brexit Europe, and the currency is bound to lose more of its value over the next few months.
