Hollywood director Steven Spielberg has confirmed that he will not direct the next Indiana Jones movie.
The fifth installment in the long-running series is due to begin filming this summer, but Spielberg -who directed the previous four films- will pass the director’s chair on to someone else this time around. James Mangold, director of Wolverine and Logan, has been named as likely replacement.
‘Indy 5’ has had a troubled development period, with multiple delays and setbacks since it was first announced back in 2016. The movie is now expected to premiere some time in 2021.
Harrison Ford, now 77, is likely to don the famous Fedora for the last time.
