Still no summer weather in sight, as persistent rain continues to fall across much of Ireland

There’s still no sign of summer weather, as Met Eireann is predicting a rather wet and unsettled day today, with persistent rain across many areas and temperatures way below average for the time of year.

Today, Wednesday, will remain cloudy and cool, as temperatures hover between 12-15C. There will be frequent outbreaks of rain, leading into a cold and unpleasant evening.

Thursday is forecast to bring much the same weather, with persistent rain and low temperatures.

The outlook for the weekend is not much better either, as Met Eireann says wet weather is likely to be predominant.
