Met Eireann has extended its Orange Status warning for three counties as conditions are set to worsen over the coming hours across some areas.
The warning for counties Leitrim and Sligo kicks in at 8pm, and will remain in place until 8am on Wednesday. The warning for County Donegal will remain in effect until 2pm.
Storm Barra is causing severe disruption to travel and power grids nationwide, with stronger winds forecast in some areas towards evening.
