storm33

Desmond, Henry…Jonas, and now Imogen. A string of wild weather systems that have raged through Ireland over the last two months, but all are said to pale in comparison to the power of the latter.

Imogen brings along winds of up to 120km/h, with the South seeing the worst of it. Cork and Kerry are set to become the target of savage winds tonight and tomorrow morning, and their coastal regions will bear witnesses to waves of up to 15mts in height.

Met Eireann has issued a country-wide Yellow Weather Warning, while a Status Orange alert is in effect for the South-West.

Storm Imogen will sweep eastwards across Ireland throughout Sunday night and Monday morning.

Overall, over €1bn worth of damage has been caused by weather events across Ireland and the UK in recent weeks.
