Stormbringer: Ireland will be swept by windstorms and heavy rainfall over the coming weeks

windstorm

Long-range forecasts foresee a great deal of rough and stormy weather for Ireland during the first half of this winter.

Predictions say that a gigantic windstorm is on course to lash the country during the second half of this month, followed by large amounts of rainfall in November.

If these forecasts come to pass, widespread flooding may occur again just as it did in the same period last year, when large swathes of the country became submerged.

The only silver lining is that there will be little in the way of cold air within these weather fronts, so temperatures will remain relatively mild for a time.
