A grocery delivery driver doing her routine scheduled drop-offs had a minor driving incident during the extreme storm storm in Texas last week which led to her being adopted for five days by a local family,  reports CNN.

Chelsea Timmons delivery jeep slid into the garden of homeowners Doug Condon and Nina Richardson during the fierce storms. They kindly invited Chelsea into their home whilst they waited for the tow truck to come to the rescue.

Five days later, Chelsea was still living with the Condons as they all waited for the storm to subside and for the tow truck to finally arrive.

Chelsea offered to move into a hotel but in an act of kindness, the Condons offered their spare room to her. She is now safe at home after the five day break away.

“I am so grateful that they were not only able but willing to let a complete stranger into their home in the midst of a pandemic, in the midst of a storm… with no hesitation,” Chelsea Timmons said.
