The main suspect of Tuesday’s shooting at a Christmas market in Strasbourg, France, has been shot dead by police forces in the city.
It is understood that police officers stumbled upon a man they believed was prime suspect Cherif Chekatt, and when they moved in to arrest him, the suspect turned to attack them. Police shot him dead then.
Chekatt’s parents and two of his brothers have also been arrested as part of the ongoing operation.
