Structural checks carried out by engineers have revealed that an additional seventeen school buildings are in need of remedial works.
This figure may yet increase, as decisions still need to be made on a number of other cases.
Several schools had to be hastily closed down so repair work could be carried out as a matter of urgency.
All buildings are linked to construction firm Western Building Systems (WBS).
