A bunch of Students at the Institute of Technology in Tralee have set a new world record this afternoon.
The students which consisted of 1,000 people gathered at the college earlier this afternoon in order to break the world record for the most Christmas crackers to be pulled in one go. The latest attempt will beat the existing record is 798 by a significant margin.
The stunt is the first in a series of events held across Ireland in the hope to raise money for charities such as MS Ireland, the Cope Foundation and Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services in Dublin.
