The children were from St Colman’s Community College in Midleton Co. Cork.
This school was rewarded and was given the award “School of the Year” by An Taisce at the 2015 Clean Coasts Ocean Hero Awards.
Proinsias Ó Tuama a delighted teacher at the school stated “We are absolutely delighted with this award, it is so important to educate our young people about the importance of rotecting the local environment,”
“Think Before You Flush” was a programme set up by Taisce’s Clean Coasts programme and educates students on
pollution and the damage sanitary products and other objects can cause to our marine evironment.
