Thousands of students from around the country descended onto the streets of Dublin to protest against climate change last Friday.
Students claimed that climate change is happening, and that it could even lead to a so-called climate war with people fighting over water. Some cynical social media users claimed that the students just wanted the day off school and to have a bit of a laugh in town, while some students at the protest claimed that they just want the government to listen to them and that they want the government to act on the Paris climate agreement.
The students who took part have been posting all weekend on social media how they’re “happy” with how the protest went and could even see more happening in the future.
