Musgraves the company which currently owns and supplies food supplies and other products to supermarkets chains Centra and SuperValu have issued a statement saying they are currently in the process of recalling a number of their soup products from stores across the country.
The company issued the statement yesterday evening after the Food Safety Authority says they found traces of hard plastic in some of the supplies.
It is understood that a total of 10 ranges of soups are affected.
Musgraves also say they have set up an emergency helpline 0818 333 311 for anyone who may have concerns.
