Survey suggests Irish people are doing their Christmas shopping earlier and online

An online survey suggests that Irish shoppers are doing their Christmas shopping earlier and are turning to their laptops and phones to make their purchases.

Online retailers say an upturn in Christmas sales started in early November compared to late November 2013.

Online expert Kevin Harrington said: “We’re seeing more and more people going online searching for Christmas gifts, but there’ll always be a few late shoppers on Christmas Eve though!”
