A number of Bank of Ireland customers have reported receiving emails purporting to come from the financial entity, telling them that their online accounts will be unavailable unless they click on a link provided and enter their login details
According to bank officials, such email appears to be a “phishing” attempt, where scammers try to obtain a bank customer’s login details to defraud their account.
Bank of Ireland have warned that the bank will never contact a customer to ask them for their login details, and that if anyone have received such email, they should visit this page https://www.365online.com/online365/spring/security for advice.
